Writing and speaking about different topics!

Hi all!  

Hope you are doing well! Welcome to our seventh activity. Please, post your comments before June 19th, 6 pm.!


1. Look for a web or printed article related to science, technology, education, sports, etc. It must have 2 pages at least. You must present it in printed version for your oral report.


2. Summarize and rewrite a version of the article with your own words, using CONTINUOUS AND FUTURE TENSES. Divide your report into coherent paragraphs. (250 words at least).

3. Include comments related to what you like the most or what you do not like, or other opinions you can have about it.

4. Prepare an oral report about it to be presented in the tutorial sessions (from June 18th to 27th), you just will have 2 1/2 minutes, it is expected you to say 50 sentences at least.


4. Language use / writing aspects:

- Continuous and future sentence structure.
- Useful vocabulary you need to express your ideas, "taken from the same article".
- Grammar, spelling, punctuation rules, etc.

My favorite English song!

Hi all!  

Hope you are doing well! Welcome to our fourth activity. Please, post your comments before June  4th, 2 p.m.!


1. Think
 about your favorite English song.

2. Make a brainstorming, considering the following statements:

- Information about the singer or group.
- Song lyrics description / message.
- What you like the most.
- What it makes you feel like.
- Some reasons you would like to recommend it.

3. Write a paragraph for each one of the parts mentioned above, giving your own ideas to tell your version of the story. It must have 250 words at least.

4. Prepare an oral presentation about it to be presented to your classmates (June 9th), you will have 5 minutes, be creative!.

- Simple sentence structures in the tenses you decide.
- Useful vocabulary you need to express your ideas.

Retelling a tale of horror! - Using present and past simple.

Hi all!  

Hope you are doing well! Welcome to our third activity. Please, post your comments before April 28th, 5 p.m.!


1. Choose a tale of terror from the ones I left you in the copy center (C&P).


2. Summarize and rewrite a version of the tale with your own words, using PRESENT SIMPLE. (250 words at least). Then...

++ Take the version you wrote in PRESENT TENSE, and rewrite it into the PAST TENSE.

3. Include comments related to what you like the most or what you do not like about it.

4. Prepare an oral report about the tale to be presented in the tutorial sessions (from april 29th to may 2nd), you just will have 2 minutes and it is expected you to say 40 sentences at least.

Writing my fact file!

Hi all!  

Hope you are doing well! Welcome to our second activity! For this activity, you will write your fact file in English language. Post your comments before 
April 8th, 6 p.m.

1. Follow the given example on page 13, module 1 - Cutting Edge textbook.

2. Write a creative composition (50 sentences at least), considering all the proposed items in the fact file activity. Include information about your leisure activities.


3. Language/writing aspects:


- Simple sentence structure: subject + verb + complement.
- Look for useful vocabulary you need.
- Before posting, check grammar, spelling, punctuation rules, etc.

4. Plan your first oral report (1 min, 40 sentences at least) about your fact file, to be presented on March 20th.
