Edward Christopher Sheeran / Ed sheeran born on February 17, 1991 in Halifax in the UK, is multiintrumenstist and songwriter and his compositions are on notably the genres pop rock, folk, hiphopi, acoustic and indie.
This song talks about a man who needs to be loved and feel lonely, wanting to drown his sorrows in alcohol, but is itself also has a message of resignation if things do not go your love awaits.
My favorite part of the song is after the chorus, because although his feeling is still very strong after some time passed, he's willing to let go and be free and stay on your side and let her, asking his time to assimilate and leave everything behind because love is too painful.
The song makes me feel lucky to love that I have and I feel deeply saddened and hurt, but at the end is something that happens, I'm too scared to get to be in that situation but I feel strong because you have no choice and it is normal that love hurts us, I like the melody and also that what he wants to express really feel through what we hear and how we hear it.
I recommend this song because it is real and express situations that actually happen in reality and feelings that people have, and although it does not sound cruel, just realistic and has a relaxing pace, the song itself is nice because it shows not only a heartbreak it shows too the human need to be loved.

“ONE LIFE” is my favorite English song, this song is Boyce Avenue`s group. Boyce Avenue is an American band from Sarasota, Florida, it formed in 2004. This band is made up of three people, they are: Alejandro who is the youngest and his brothers Daniel and Fabian Manzano. Each of them plays a job in the group, for example Alejandro is a lead singer, besides, and he also plays the piano and the guitar; her brother Fabian is a lead guitarist and he is in the choir, whereas her brother Daniel always plays the violin or the bass or he is in the percussion. The name BOYCE AVENUE is due to the combination of the name of two streets which they lived when they were children. Boyce Avenue has gotten popularity since it releases original music as well as its covers of popular and classic songs on YouTube. The Boyce Avenue`s covers and original music use the genres Pop rock, power pop and alternative rock.
ONE LIFE: is a song tries about the value of our life and the importance that we must give it, besides this song ask us open our eyes and look to the sky and don`t ever let it pass all opportunities that it give us lifetime since everyone only get one life and we have to awake while the world`s asleep, and it can be that we made mistakes and we`re in too deep, but it is always the time knows and be free to come alive.
I like the most: The song, the message let us and rhythm, I like it because this song let me something for my life, it isn`t superficial and it hasn`t lyrics promotes violence or insults to woman. Maybe for this, I like more English music.
What it makes me feel? Very time I listen this. I feel and I’m very calm and happy, besides this kind of songs relax me and it helps to concentrate me.
Reasons I recommend it: I recommend Boyce Avenue band because is a group manages very good the pop music, besides, through its covers one can known new songs of other singers and new musical alternatives. Regarding this song, I recommend it because it relaxes and makes us reflect on the important things in life.

Lana del Rey is my favorite singer cause she is absolutely complete she has all that I think that an idol must have.
she is songwriter and she plays guitar, all of her songs are about her life, she didn't have a good life because when she was 14 years old she was alcoholic, her youth was very terrible she sing in clubs because she loves to sing and she doesn't knew other way to be listened. Her musical career wasn't easy despite that she always was beautiful. her influences are singers like the members of "the 27 club " like Jim Morrison, Jimi Hendrix, Kurt Cobain, Janis Joplin, Brian Jones... also some actress and actors like Marilyn Monroe, Elvis Presley (she say that Elvis is her father Marilyn her mother and Jesus is her bestest friend lol), Frank Sinatra, Nancy Sinatra, too John F Kennedy. Although some people think that she isn't lana del rey, that her should be "Lana del sueño"I think that her lyrics are perfects, she put many of she in to her songs, too she loves her fans, her fans are one of the most important things in her life and so I think that is all, maybe I can say that she is beautiful, she es magnificent. This song tell about the homosexuality, people over weight, the sexism and as they feel, the message is about never give up, and don´t think about that say the others, because despite of the differents problems that we have, always we have to go ahead and think that all will be fine.
The most I like is the strong of the song and the message that it gives, the rate and its lyric; and the part that most I like is the chorus because says that we have be a firework and shine each one our way.
It makes me feel a little sad, because despite of the technology even some people don´t tolerate the free thought of the others; and happy because the song is connected with the reality and give other chance to these people for don´t give up.
I recommend this song because is a good song has an interesting lyric, talk about real problems, has a nice rate, and teach us to respect these people and try to help them.

This song talks about a man, who is in love with a person but he does not know how express his feelings and he let her go and now he misses her. Finally he understands that he misses things when he does not have it and he begins to understand the importance of the little things because:

The song´s message is that we should care all the things that we love, even the little things because, maybe one day we lose it and that day will be late for cried and it’s no use complaining now.
I like this song because make me feel relaxed and happy when I have people that I love or when I look one beautiful sunrise, stars, rain or sun; on the other hand, sometimes it song make me feel sad, when I cannot express easily my feelings and I am selfish and forget the feelings of the people.
I recommend this song because is a good way for learn to care the things that we love. We always should express our feelings. We do not know when someone goes far or maybe he dies and, we did not say him, that, he was very important for us. Maybe when we are far of home and only in this moment we miss it, we know that we love our family, but never, we say it.

Guns and roses is a hard rock band, it is from Los Angeles (California) and this band was born in 1985. Guns and roses was made up for Axl Rose, Slash, Izzy Stradlin, Steven Adler, Duff McKagan.
Axl was the voice of the band, Slash was a Guitar player, Izzy was a guitar player, Steven in the drums and Duff in the bass. Now, the band is make up for others artist because axl and the others players had some problems but this band is the best band of the world.
This song tells about the weakness of patience in a sentimental relation, is important that people of a relation learn that in a relation patience is important and in this relation don´t have that speed up the things. Only people need patience, patience, patience.
I like the chorus of patience because it tells about the most important of the song and it is the principal part of this.
When I listen this song I get excited and I fell that my heart sings of happiness, this fellings are unexplaineds.

I'm in love him. some persons don't like the metal music, because they think that it is diabolic music but maybe they should listen the meaning to each word, maybe they can understand the song and the music.
This song talk about the horrible moment when people are not accepted in society,for example people who like metal music, because sometimes they dress in black, and men have long hair and tattoos. some people do not understand anything of that culture, and judge strongly. David Draiman talk about in this song about that, because when he was more young, he had a relationship, and his girlfriend's father hated him for being a metalhead.
The most I like is the video of the song because they playing in an abandoned room of an asylum, and we can see people possessed. when I listen stupify, I feel in other world, I can be myself, but I listen hard metal when I am alone because I don't like that people judge me.

Where they went the values of humanity? In addition it tells about of the negative impact of the of the media in those that incite to the violence, lack of tolerance, leading lives away from unity separate us more and more

this song is sung poetry , the lyrics are very nice and emotional, the pace is slow and harmonious.
this song tells the story of a man who is used by a woman that can not forget his former partner who according to the song is a lout. then the man sings that she should Search another man who is willing to stay with her so she did not completely love, a man that is always willing to be the second dish at that table

UB40 are a British group of pop reggae music and dub formed in Birmingham, England in 1978.
Its eight members are childhood friends of various races and from the working class: Alastair Campbell, Robin Campbell, James Brown, Earl Falconer, Norman Hassan, Brian Travers, Michael Virtue and Astro.
They bought their first instruments with the money that Ali received as compensation for a fight they had in a pub, although some of them still knew not to touch them. They got their name from the form of request for payment of unemployment insurance, Unemployment Benefit Form 40 (form of social assistance unemployment 40) because the eight members of the group were unemployed.
They recorded a demo that was issued by a radio station and began playing in some pubs and nightclubs, until Chrissie Hynde, the lead singer of The Pretenders saw them play and offered them to accompany her opening for her group during the tour that did in 1979. In 1980, they released their first album Signing off. In 1983 and with the launch of its own version of the famous song Red Red Wine Neil Diamond, (included in the cover album Labour of Love) obtained his first success and subsequent rise to fame.

That I like the most of this song is the rhythm and the lyrics. I feel very good when I heard this song because I remember that, it was the first English song than I sang, when I was in eleventh grade, we had to choose a English song, sing its and present a choreography, we chose this song because we liked a lot of the rhythm and therefore it was the first English song than I sang. I recommend this song because UB40 is a good group, the rhythm and the lyrics are very good, this song is very beautiful.
MY FAVORITE SONG
ReplyDeleteI do not have a favorite band or a favorite song, I listen to all kinds of music. However, I like listening to Kelly Clarkson because of her songs have an interesting and lively rhythm and these are about overcoming challenges, specially, her album called Stronger. Regarding her lyrics, some songs are too sad, one of them is “behind these hazel eyes”; I less often listen to these songs, I prefer to listen to her optimistic songs such as: “Stronger” or “the people like us”, precisely, “the people like us” it is her best song. She gives through this a hope to people whom want to throw it all away, she is inviting us to be strong, to head up and to get high, even if we are living at the bottom, she says the best is to think nothing lasts forever. She said: “Don’t let it get the best of you, you'll make it out alive”. The music is able to change mood, and with this song you could forget your problems. She sings it with strength and effusiveness enough to make you happy. Also I like the following sentence: “what doesn't kill you makes you stronger”, this is stronger song.
I think that Kelly´s mother example taught her to relay a message to women everywhere that they’re capable of doing whatever they set their mind. Her parents divorced when she was six and her mother struggled financially to raise Kelly and her older siblings. Now, I believe that she is less famous than when she begins her career, in 2002 during the first season of American Idol. She participated because she needed some money to build a new flat because the one she owned was burnt. She never imagined to be as successful as she was after winning the American idol.
I recommend to listen to her songs because her pronunciation is clear and it could be a useful tool for learning the English language.

My favorite song is baby can i hold you? because i think that is a very nice song, in his letter tells the difficult of ask forgiveness because we prefer to hide us true feelings for fear of showing weakness, probably the own proud is main reason for dont say "sorry". this way Tracy Chapman us give an excellent massage of reconciliation and love.
Also i love the way that Tracy expresses so feelings in every composition. In my opinión Tracy is a great musician who always write with her heart.

That's when you need a sign to take you to a place where comfort you people who guide you not because they are superior beings but because they made the same mistakes and experience teach you not to repeat them.
This song gets me so emotionally feel calm and relax while listening to it; it is a very optimistic song. The lines are so touching and meaningful... Every single word that is written in this song has a deep meaning and it express every single feeling. “And the tears come streaming down your face. When you lose something you can't replace. When you love someone but it goes to waste, could it be worse?” in my opinion it's like, when we lose something that means so much for us and we don't even know how to replace it, because it can't be replaced in our heart.

EPICA is a rock music band Dutch, symphony it was created in the year 2003 by the guitarist and singer Mark Jansen after he resigned at the group “After forever”.
About group: Music to mix mezzo-soprano voice of Simone Simons accompanies with guitars and melodies, using guttural voices, choir and lyrics in Latin with philosophy concept in their songs. The style of this group, also to show us sounds like progressive metal that has improved significantly in their final records. The first name of this group was SAHARA DUST, but after of met the musicians they decided to change the name by “EPICA” about the name, Mark says that: EPICA is a place in the universe where we can met the most important answers about questions of the life. In general, lyrics of this group to have the same meaning like EPICA.
Message and description: Tides of time hasn´t clear messages because “EPICA” write lyrics about strange situations. But I like this song because the melody is very soft also is very good to concentrate me. This is the first verse: “you were always there to hold my hand, when times were hard to understand. But now the tides of time have turned…..”
I like the most: “Tides of time” is my favorite, but there is another song that I like also. “Never enough” I like this because is not heavy and the message is interesting because Simone Simons sings about people unfaithful. It has a beautiful lyric.
Make me feel: These two songs make me feel very relaxed and also make me think about things of the life.
I recommend this group because, music is super and you can feel very “happy” in the best sense of the word. Listen to it.

I have chosen London Calling written by The Clash, a classic english punk rock band formed in 1976. This band is already undone from 1986. They wrote and sang some politic songs, they were out of the ordinary in the punk movement 'cause they mixed another kind of music.
ReplyDeletethe song speaks about some different topics that are actual for us, such as like global warming, melting of the poles, and in general current themes for their time and place, themes that are curiously actual for us.
I like this song 'cause has a good pace and music, usually punk rock was sounding different, it sounds like strange, almost paranoid, by another way.
It makes me feel or think to be careful and to act in that way.
Lately i have been consulting about mysterious things, and reviewing and remembering this song i can say that i feel the mystery there.
I think they callled the song "London Calling" at the first step 'cause they were englishmen, second step, they knew more and different things than us, then London is the main city in the United Kingdom, ok i think there are many other details to deduce.
The only that i can say is that music is important in society with the arts, culture and study. we´re here to improve improve our life and those of others.

ReplyDeleteIf I have to talk about my favorite English song I cannot do it because I have a lot, but I would like to talk about one that makes me sad because with this you can see the world’s reality. This song is CHILDHOOD'S END by Iron Maiden. They are a heavy metal band from east London, England, formed in 1975 by bassist Steve Harris, formerly a member of Gypsy's Kiss and Smiler. They are one of the most successful and influential bands in the heavy metal genre, having sold more than 100 million albums world-wide; Iron Maiden's work has inspired other sub-genres of heavy metal music, including power metal and speed metal. They have so far released 13 studio albums, 2 'best of' compilations and 5 live albums. With a string of festival appearances arranged for 2005, they show no sign of stopping yet. On the other hand the lyric is about some childhood´s problems around the word and how the children live in a very bad condition and have a lot needs. I think the message of this song is very dramatic because it is about something is happen in the present but nobody do anything. I like this song very much because this is a critique for political, economic and social system of the world and maybe Iron Maiden can do the difference between conscience and indifference with this. It makes me so worried and sad because sometimes we listen to music only for enjoying but music can be a way to connect with the world and reality sometimes makeup. I recommend this because I think this group tries to sensitize with this and with other very good songs.

ReplyDeleteMore than words this song is played for the group EXTREME, they are from Boston Massachusetts in usa they were born in about 1987 and 1990 and they arrived to fame with the album named “pornograffitti” in this was included more than words that arrived to the first place in the local radios and its old member were Paul Geary Mike Mangini Paul Mangone Peter Hunt Hal Lebeaux Carl Restivo and now are Gary Cherone Nuno Bettencourt Pat Badger Kevin Figueired.
The song talks about the love is more than words is feeling with acts and won´t be necessary to say I love you because the person will know. So demonstrate the affection.
I like most because it was the first direct contact that I had with real English when I was I eighth grade I listened for first time and immediately I liked so I began to think about the other songs in English and I began to understand that the English was more that grammatical. So the message is very real and the love must demonstrate with acts more than words the rhythm is very soft. To sum up this song remember me my years in a high school, classmates and the English days.
I recommended because is an old song but is excellent too. This song says all that one person need for learn to give love. You could dedicate it to someone for say that you need love no words. Then you listen this song you can reflex about the true love between two people and share your feeling in a relationship.

The band began with my favorite female singer: Tarja Turunen. Tarja was kicked out of the band in 2005 anda she was replaced by Annete Olzon, in 2011 Annnet was replaced by the new singer: Floor Jansen. Since the band keep their formation.
Ghost Love Score belongs to the álbum “Once” of 2005. To me is a perfect song because the intro is very good, there is a excellent combinations of the different rhythms on the different parts of the song. The lyric has a message very special to me, because the song talk about the someone or something very important to us of the past. Something we can never forget and always we carry in our hearts even though time passes. Tarja is a singer of the opera her voice in this song is beautiful, amazing, i loive it.
I like all the song because is a perfect symphony between metal and ballad, their music inspires melancoly and passion at the same time. I recomended when you feel depressed inside and you want remember someone or something special. Is excellent.

This song talks about an advice that we have to practice the most of the time during our live, ”¡to trust in ourself!”, in order to get or win somebody´s confidence and that´s the idea the mutual confidence.
The part of the song that I like the most is when it begins saying that we must (always) trust in who we are and with this idea we can do all that we want, that´s the interesting and NOTHING ELSE MATTERS! Another interesting part of the song is when says that,life is ours and we live it our way because it means that we can do all that we propose, all that we can and all that we want.
When I listen this song it makes me feel sure, confident and so safe because it make my day and i´m delighted!
